With a career in media sales spanning more than 20 years and having worked for some of WA’s top publishing houses, it’s safe to say that we’re excited to welcome Kay Cohen to St Bart’s as our Corporate Partnerships Manager.

In what is her first role in the not-for-profit sector, Kay says it was the type of position she has been hoping to move in to for a while.

“I wanted to do something that would make a difference to people’s lives, particularly for those who are vulnerable and who have experienced homelessness,” Kay said.

“Mental health should be a priority within corporate businesses and amongst the affluent community, and I hope to bring more awareness to the great things that St Bart’s is doing in this space.”

Outside of work, Kay is often soaking up the sun and fresh air at the beach with her pug. A design enthusiast, she enjoys walking around the West End of Fremantle and North Fremantle taking in the heritage buildings.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
“Treat people the way you want to be treated, and my dad taught me to always smile and say hello because it can make such a difference to someone’s day and yours.”

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you choose and why?
“I would have to say it would be local Perth girl Madge Thomas. She now lives in New York and has worked for UN. She is a real change maker and we need more of this in WA, across Australia and beyond.”
