Our Community Recovery Villages provide medium-term community based traditional or respite accommodation for adults aged 18 years and older, experiencing homelessness, mental health and other personal or social challenges.

Based in Middle Swan, the Recovery Support worker supports our consumers across their recovery journey, to build their capacity and skills required to transition to independent living. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, secure and supported environment for all consumers.

This permanent, part-time role works predominantly afternoon shifts on a fixed roster across three-days Monday to Sunday. Additionally, this role is required participate in the overnight Off Duty On Call roster.

Taking into consideration the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant the base salary offered for this position spans from $60,188 to $65,662 per annum, pro-rata plus superannuation and shift penalties.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need a tertiary qualification in Community Services, Mental Health or related discipline (minimum Cert III) or working towards a degree in a related field together with demonstrated experience.

In addition, our ideal candidate:

  • Is a great communicator with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and relationships
  • Has knowledge and understanding of wellness, recovery and trauma informed principles
  • Can take initiative, problem solve and work autonomously as well as work well under pressure

As we work with vulnerable people, the successful candidate will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccinations (unless a medical exemption is provided). The successful candidate must also possess a current first aid certificate, National Police Clearance and current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
