About the role

The ReSet program is part of a Metropolitan wide partnership offering reintegration services to offenders and their families. The service supports offenders to prepare for release into the community and deal with social, health, economic and personal challenges post release.

As a Case Worker, you will work closely with men and women who are exiting custodial settings to access housing and overcome issues that will prevent a successful transition into long-term accommodation in the community.

This is a permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday based in East Perth.

Taking into consideration the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant the base salary offered for this position spans from $77,577 to $83,486 per annum plus superannuation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need a tertiary qualification in Social Science, Community Services or similar discipline together with relevant demonstrated work experience.

In addition, our ideal candidate has:

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with consumers, their families, and other networks.
  • Well-developed assessment and planning skills with the ability to adapt to change.

Our successful candidate must also have (or be willing to obtain):

  • A current satisfactory National Police Certificate
  • A First Aid Certificate
  • A current WA “C” Class Drivers Licence
